Back to Olo. the last night hour in the train was spent restless standing in the corridor long before the train stopped at the station - I was absolutely happy to be back. And I knew -when none besides me would step off at 2 am, there would be someone waiting for me.
Five months ago I was restless too, not knowing what to expect - it was a new 'big' move of my life, which meant ruining everything built and starting again from the blank page. I know it is always like this -a challenge and a proof check, and a big struggle with yourself and for yourself, trying to come closer to your ideal one, which luckily will never happen.
Olo, or à la Moute (french-like nickname my best friend gave to it as soon as we found out where on earth Olo is) is the city I experienced from the very inside (though here it's really hard to have only touristic point of view) - I know that fresh newpapers are brought to RELAX shop at the railway stationalready at 2.30 am, and at 3 am the station starts its new day. I learnt and learning the city without any map or plan. That's because info-office was closed during the first day, living in a way I have always been here helps me to feel local sometimes. After Lithuania, when u hardly understand people if they speak in Lithuanian, I again enjoy playing guessing game -while walking in the streets , hearing people, reading signs, and even helping other people in the streets with directions.
Thus, in a kind a blind way, i find out more about city, -the way you do with your native place-you know about it just beacause you live there.
And there is good thing about coming back. I feel natural.

Loneliness on the Net by Wisniewski
I was reading this book 2 years ago or more, and thinking how it started in our lives (or better to say in mine): I was alone in the foreign country, waiting when u gonna be online in icq (was downloading our schedule to know when u exactly appear in our library room with only 30 PCs), but sometimes u would keep silence. Sometimes in the mornings, besides all these emails concerning work i could easily spot yours, long enough.. And i got @-- for my Birthday from u that year.
Since that time a lot changed. Your contact is the first one on some of my older SIMcards, but it's only because of alphabetical reason now..
I don't know what you were thinking about while reading the same book this evening, and there is probably no mistical connection between ur reading and after almost a year of silence - starting the conversation. online.
